Denise Philipbar is a professional artist whose paintings speak the wordless language of pure emotion. Her brave brushstrokes, vibrant colors, and visual depth speak to core experiences in all of us, sometimes with a whisper, sometimes a shout, but always with truth.
Denise is an internationally collected artist. She has studied painting with Kevin Wechbach, Ken Valastro, Doug Dawson, Kim English and Margaretta Gilboy at the Art Student League of Denver, and continues to explore sculptural works in clay. "I will always be creating," Denise says. "If there is no paint, then I'll turn to clay. If there is no clay, then I'll turn to wood. I will always find a way to give voice to my inner world that has never learned words."
Denise's vision is fueled by a wide range of life experience. Raised under the vast skies of the desert southwest, she turned eastward to dance professionally before turning to physics and mathematics and then, back again, to her first love: art.
Denise loves to travel and has lived and worked in Munich, Germany. She enjoys learning new languages and visiting new countries whenever the chance arises. She paints the scenes of her experiences along the way.
